10-10-10 Project Photographers started at 12:01 am at the Metro North train station to capture Yankee fans disembarking from a winning game. Others captured sunrise on the water, a fireman commemoration and sporting events. A local dentist, Dr. Perler, piloted his personal plane to take a photo crew 1,000 feet about New Rochelle to take pictures from the air. Others took to boats and bikes, cars and motorcycles. The entire city was covered, from the north to the south, east to the west. Over 4000 photos were submitted. A photo selection committee (Jen Parente, Anna Piliero, Cristina Cerone, Karen Hessel, Charlene Goldberg, and Valerie Gomez) met for ten sessions and selected 200 photos for a book. The profits from the book go to the Thomas Paine Cottage, Huguenot & New Rochelle Historical Society (http://www.thomaspainecottage.org) Photo captions were written by Bill Mullen. Mayor Bramson and City Historian Barbara Davis wrote short forwards. Our media sponsor is WVOX, "America's Great Community Station" at www.wvox.com. The 10-10-10 photo exhibit is currently installed at Cosi's Restaurant at 77 Quaker Ridge Road, New Rochelle, NY (914-637-8300). The 10-10-10 Project book is 160 full color and full size pages, hard-bound and contains forwards by Mayor Bramson and City Historian Barbara Davis.
